Preppers, gun owners, and the Texas community above are uncomfortable
with troops in the United States training to run detention camps.

Are military exercises a harbinger of what's to come?
Elections are up and preppers have a sage understanding that
this is not normal military training. There has been something
extremely unsettling about the presence of standing armies in
peacetime. Preppers and other concerned patriots have been
seeing military convoys all around the United States getting ready
for something big.

Have they been getting ready for Martial Law? Why did we need
the sudden boost of military facilities in the United States? Is all
this to do because 9/11 was a major game changer? Or should we
believe the conspiracy theories?

The truth about the Posse Comitatus Act.
When you look at a scholarly review of the Posse Comitatus Act
you will see that the Act came about because after the election of
1876 when there was much speculation that federal troops had
improperly influenced the vote. In the presidential election the
Democratic governor (New York Governor Samuel J. Tilden) won
the popular vote, but lost the election because of the military
intervention. The Electoral College failed to show a clear winner,
which sent the vote for presidency to Congress. This is how the
Republican Candidate Rutherford B. Hayes became the nineteenth
President of the United States. According to the White House,
"
Rutherford B. Hayes oversaw the end of Reconstruction, began
the efforts that led to civil service reform, and attempted to
reconcile the divisions left over from the Civil War." He was, as
the White House stated, the "Beneficiary of the most fiercely
disputed election in American history."

What does the White House have to say about the Posse
Comitatus Act? It does not exist on the White House pages. The
American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) wrote on their Web site,
"
On December 31, 2011, President Obama signed the National
Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), codifying indefinite military
detention without charge or trial into law for the first time in
American history." However, the ACLU also says it "...does not
believe that the NDAA authorizes military detention of American
citizens or anyone else in the United States."

What will the next election cycle bring? Only time will tell. The
Posse Comitatus Act was a reassurance that this would never
happen again. This reality should ignite further study and thought
about the current state of our nation. A storm is brewing.

Martial Law Resources

Now you are a little more informed about Martial Law and the
Posse Comiatus Act, and also a little more prepared than you
were an hour ago. Your eyes have widened and you can study
more about how to survive Martial Law should it ever happen.

Happy endings...
The good and happy news is that Congress has never declared
Martial Law, and you are a prepper and know how to keep a low
profile. Take care to hide the bullets and beans, and know that at
least for now you have
food stored, bugout bags, gas masks and
your sensibility. You are a patriot in every sense of the word.
Trust no one.

Conceal your guns even with a t-shirt on with a Kydex Concealed Carry
Holster.

#2: Collect intelligence.
Do more listening than talking. See what you can find out from
neighbors and friends. Hopefully they don't know you're a prepper.
Tune in and listen. Get your
prepper communications devices and
listen to what others have to say.

Tell lies if you must to protect the scope of your security.

#3: Keep the authority in check.
Whoever is in authority is the enemy, but you must pay proper
deference and cooperate to keep authority in check. This means
you must give them respect and stay out of trouble. Do not give
them any reason to harm you or your family.

Keep the peace and remember to keep a low profile and do not
instigate anything. A cooperative nature will help you appear
meek and non-threatening. Use this tactic to your advantage.

#4: Know the imposed rules, keep a journal.
Keep a low-profile journal and pay clear attention to the rules the
authorities are laying out and keep tabs on them as the rules
may change in the chaos or because of new circumstances.

Keeping tabs on the rules and the news will be difficult as you
may get inundated with conflicting reports, rumours and
speculation. If you can keep a journal about who said what, this
will help you so that you can begin to understand where you are
getting the good sources of information.

#5: Continue your quest for self reliance.
Urban preppers will suffer the most risks during Martial Law, but
thanks to their self-reliant nature, they will likely have what they
need to survive. As a prepper, you have a leg up on other
individuals.

With a supply of food and water in your cupboards, you'll have
less reason to take to the streets and to be effected by Martial
Law; however, no matter your proximity to the bulk of the military
occupation,  you should play the part of "sheeple" and pretend
with your neighbors that you have nothing. Observe your
neighbors and act like they do.

#6: Have training and knowledge of self defense.
Stay in good shape and be ready to defend yourself physically.
Your guns may be confiscated and you may come upon non-
authority figures who are after your food and supplies.

#7: Know how to survive a riot / civil unrest.
Riots happen, whether or not they are the beginning sigs of
Martial Law. As a prepper, your goal is to stay out of harm's way,
and to avoid rioting and civil unrest, but you may be caught up in
a riot just by being in the wrong place at the right time. How you
navigate crowds is vital to
surviving a riot.

#8: Review the list of Improvised weapons.
During Martial Law civil unrest and tensions are high. You never
know when you might be caught in an urban survival situation
when things go down.
Review this list of improvised weapons so
you can think creatively and survive.

#9: Recognize the signs of Martial Law.
As a prepper, you need to have your "third eye" aware of the
signals of Martial Law well in advance of it setting into a reality.

Can you recognize the signs of Martial Law?
Here are just some of the signs that Martial Law is imminent:
  • Civil unrest escalates and soon massive rioting erupts
  • Government imposes national I.D. (control of citizen
    whereabouts).
  • Travel restrictions imposed.
  • Increased checkpoints through Transportation Security
Administration(TSA) happen and in to doing civilians trade
    liberty for security.
  • Internet becomes severely restricted or is gone entirely.

During a period of civil unrest if Martial Law should come into
effect, you'll have a heads up about what to expect.
You now have a little more edge over your neighbors about how
to survive Martial Law. Guide your family and friends to Martial
Law survival should the time come.

Posse Comitatus Act
No discussion of Martial Law would be complete without
discussion of the Posse Comitatus Act of 1879.  The literal
translation of "Posse Comitatus" translates to "power of the
county." The Posse Comitatus Act generally helps prevent the
military services from carrying out domestic law enforcement
duties, except in cases expressly authorized by the constitution
or an act of congress. Unfortunately, some speculate that the
Posse Comitatus Act helped militarize our police and set the
stage for the violence in the streets. At least that's the argument
for getting rid of it. There are some who want to

The
Posse Comitatus Act supports one of our country's early
principles ~ a separation of military and civilian government.

Things are changing rapidly, including "home grown terrorism."
What are you going to do? Below is a "must see" video about
Martial Law. The people in this video understand what is
happening in their community about Martial Law despite what the
government is telling them:
In the days following Hurricane Katrina, New Orleans Louisiana officers were
given orders to shoot looters by authority of Martial Law.

How to survive Martial Law
What can you do to protect yourself during Martial Law? Certainly
you can't prevent Martial Law from happening, but when it comes
between you and the ones you love there are a few things you
can do to help gain control of the situation and survive.

Here is  a practical guide on what to expect and how to survive
Martial Law...

#1: Keep a low profile.
Anyone who has previously expressed civil disobedience will be
among the first targeted. During Martial Law, preppers will be
extremely vulnerable. In the chaos, they will really just looking
for the trouble makers, so it's important to avoid rioting and to
keep a low profile. Do not name-call or call attention to yourself
in any way.

As of this writing, citizens have the right to obtain a "writ of
habeas corpus," which is a protection against illegal imprisonment.

Habeas corpus is Latin for "that you have the body."

  • First rule about prep club: don't talk about "Prep Club."If
you watched "Fight Club" starting Brad Pitt, you'll remember
that he warned everyone about the first and second rule
about Fight Club. That's right: Don't talk about Fight Club.

  • Don't dress in Military style clothing. Save the camouflage
for bugging out into the wilderness. If you wear military-
style clothing, you risk confrontation with military personnel
and civilians. Your goal during Martial Law is to become a
    gray man.
Above Rachel Maddow explains Prolonged Detention as it relates to the
movie, Minority Report, starring Tom Cruise.

People will be guilty before proven innocent under Martial Law.
Anything can happen.

Under Martial Law, you may never see your family again as you
will likely be separated. The possibility exists for any and all of
the following:
  • Mass arrests.
  • Quick trials and executions.
  • Concentration camps.
  • Shooting to kill.

Executions and shooting to kill.
During Hurricane Katrina, allegedy Captain James Scott said "We
have authority by martial law to shoot looters."
Martial Law concern #7: Enforced relocations,
detention or even execution (shooting to kill).
Detention is among the primary threats of Martial Law. It should
concern you as a prepper that in 2009 the government set out to
create six national emergency centers on military installations.
The plans for National Emergency Centers on Military Installations
is all spelled out in
H.R. 645.

Prolonged Detention.
Prolonged detention is an indefinite detention without trial. It's
incarceration.
Above, Photo by The Baltimore Sun, shows National Guard in Baltimore,
Maryland, following curfew.

Martial Law Concern #5: Gun confiscation.
Confiscation of firearms and ammunitions has always been a
concern to preppers, and during events leading up to and
including martial law, confiscation will be prevalent. It's already
happening:

Martial Law Concern #6: Rationing.
When the country is forced into rationing, you'll be glad you have
stashed food, but the fact that you've stashed food could also be
held against you as it may become illegal. As as prepper you'll
have to be creative about where you hide your food in particular,
but here are some things to note:

  • Freeze dried foods and MREs. If Martial law ensues, your
strategy should be to eat the bulk freeze dried foods and
MREs (Meals Ready to Eat) first. You see, preppers are
considered hoarders and therefore will be a target of the
military and of desperate marauders. Having too much food
and supplies is a risk ~ the military will love your commercial
and freeze dried food as well as your MRES and confiscate
them all for their troops. Worse, you might be detained
    because you didn't share.

  • Home Canning: The good news is that the military will stay
away from home canned food as they feel it is a
questionable for risk of botulism. They will only have an
interest in your commercially canned foods, freeze dried
pouches, boxed food and other shelf-stable foods prepared
by manufacturers. This make it a wise decision to display
your home canned foods and dry-canned fodos as a decoy to
your other long term food storage supplies.

  • Hide small stashes of food. Another way to keep tabs on
the military stealing your food during martial law is to stash
small food in unexpected places. Keep on prepping your food
storage, but be sure to stock ration bars, survival tabs, and
food bars, which are condensed and easier to hide than your
buckets of emergency food. You can tuck them in pockets in
clothes hanging in your closets and drawers. That way if the
authorities raid your pantry, you'll have backup.
How to Survive Martial Law
Practical guide for preppers on surviving Martial Law

How to Survive Martial Law.
In the grand scheme of bad things that could happen, Martial Law
is perhaps what preppers fear most next to a
nuclear blast, EMP
or
Ebola outbreak. Thomas Jefferson said it best: "A government
big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to
take everything you have." This is the reality of Martial Law.

What is Martial Law? It's when the military replaces the
government and the constitution becomes suspended. Essentially,
Martial Law enables military forces to quickly arrest persons and
conduct trials. It's supreme control! Martial law means the
military could take everything you have worked so hard to
stockpile as a prepper ~ food, supplies and your freedom.

Do you know the possible triggers of Martial Law?

Do you know what you'll be giving up?
  • Your right to a fair trial (suspension of constitutional rights)
  • Your voice (suspension of free speech)
  • Your freedom to travel by night (curfews , detention)
  • Your guns and ammunition (confiscation and imprisonment)
  • Your food (rationing and confiscation of your personal stash)
  • Your home (forced relocations)
  • Your body (forced vaccinations, FEMA work camps)

The Federal Government can gain full control of:
  • Civil transportation
  • Drugs and health resources
  • Energy
  • Food
  • Water

Martial Law Survival Strategies
Before we get into the survival strategies of Martial Law, let's go
over the concerns preppers have about it, and how Martial Law
will affect our daily lives?

Martial law concern #1: False flag.
Will you be able to recognize a false flag? A false flag is a
weapon to control the citizens with an instilled fear of a
manufactured enemy. It's a well planned operation that deceives
in such a way that events appear as though they are being carried
out by an organization, country, group or other entity than the
ones actually responsible. Events unfold in an order to control you
because you feel compelled to act in a certain way or support a
cause which you may otherwise not have supported.

Martial law concern #2: Mass surveillance.
Surveillance is the precursor to control of a population and for
identifying individuals who are viewed by those in control as
troublemakers. There are things you can do to protect yourself.

  • Radio-frequency Identification (RFID). The fancy word for
microchips, Radio-frequency Identification has begun. RIFD
cash, clothing, and possessions, or implanted in animals or
    people.

  • Cellphone tracking. In emergency situations, the U.S.
Department of Justice gained the right to deploy use of
"Stingrays," which can pinpoint a phone’s physical location.
Under ordinary circumstance, this requires a warrant, but
when Martial Law is declared, this means your cellphone can
be tracked without a warrant. Will they use Stingrays on
you? Probably not, but that's only because Stingrays are
pricey --  The Atlantic reports Stingrays cost between
$100,000-$400,000. If you have a bunker, leave your cell
phone somewhere else than the bunker.

On the topic of mass surveillance, WikiLeaks founder Julian
Assange, a journalist, computer programmer and activist, pledged
in October 2016 to publish significant information about mass
surveillance in the United States.

Martial law concern #3: Media coverage restrictions
and censorship.
If surveillance is the precursor to control, then media coverage
restrictions and censorship is the catalyst of control. In other
words, the media influences how messages are perceived by the
population. This is why President Trump is so concerned about
the
fake news, which is media bias.

Now, Democrats may think that President Trump is restricting the
media. He's not. President Trump merely wants the media to
report the truth and not propaganda. The media should be
objective and not slant favor to a political party. They should be
held accountable for reporting the news incorrectly with bias, and
should lose their job or resign. Such was the case with
Thomas Frank, a veteran reporter at CNN; Lex Haris, executive
editor of investigations at CNN; and Eric Lichtblau, an
investigative editor and reporter also from CNN, who reported
incorrectly on a Russian investment fund supposedly being
investigated by the Senate. It was fake news! The journalists
resigned.

This is an important distinction. During Marital Law, there's no
doubt that media coverage will have government control with
heavy restrictions on content. In such regards, think T

Martial Law Concern #4: Curfews.
Curfews are a tool to control the people. The first alert signs are
curfews happening around the nation. They will start off small,
either in small areas of the country or with small segments of the
population, such as teens. It's all part of the plan of
normalization. The plan of getting you to accept that in some
cases a curfew is necessary.

Here are some recent examples of curfews imposed around the
