#5: LastDay on Earth app.
The Last Day on Earth survival game is another free app to help
you with prepping (or at least have fun imagining possible
scenarios).  The survival shooter Last Day on Earth is set in a
post apocalyptic world: in 2027 the world saw an outbreak of an
unknown infection that destroyed almost all the human race. And
it didn’t stop there. All those dead started turning into zombies
and those few survivors that have resistance in their blood are
trying to survive on the ruins of the once great world.

And now the survival of your character is only in your power! Keep
an eye on your character’s life stats such as hunger and thirst,
collect valuable resources for crafting, create weapons and
transport of different types or use what you have at hand: a bat
or a road sign. Everything will come in handy for killing dozens...
hundreds…thousands of zombies!

Defeat intruders to your land not only with your power but also
cunning – construct fortifications with traps or go raid other
survivors’ territories for the sake of rare loot and resources. After
all people can do anything to survive.

Hardcore fans will have plenty to do in tough seasonal locations.
Before going to a desperate trip, equip your survivor with the
most crushing weapon to hunt wild animals and destroy crowds of
mutated zombies. One can reach seasonal location on a transport
that’s available for crafting. Moreover if you pass the wall on the
west of the map you will enter an online location where with a
special costume on, you will be able to interact with other players.

Explore the large and deep-laid world of Last Day on Earth!
Upgrade your hero, equip your house, loot abandoned territories,
hunt wild animals and other survivors – the new world has new
rules. Will you survive in conditions like these? If so, what price
are you ready to pay?

#6: Survival Manual.
The Survival Manual app is a fully working offline resource to
really get you started prepping. The app contains info on how to
make fire, build a shelter, find food, heal and other useful content
in a case of emergency. Because it's off line, you can take this
with you camping and get quickly to the business of honing your
prepping skills. Ignore the author's political bias, you'll still get
some basic information to
get started prepping, and this app is
totally free!

#7: Paracord projects.
In the Paracord Projects app, you'll find tutorials on how to make
paracord bracelets, paracord accessories, paracord keychains, and
more that are great for beginners. All the content is free, you can
download and share it. It's a new release: April 26, 2019. Be the
first to review it!

#8: Smart Compass.
Smart Compass is a tool to search bearings (azimuth) using the
built-in magnetic sensors of your cell phone (it may not function
on a Kindle). This useful navigational app has a digital readout
and simulated compass. The GPS coordinates are given. It's much
easier to use than a traditional compass and extremely accurate.
The Smart Compass app needs to be calibrated, but it's quick and
easy to do.

Best of all, this amazing app tells you if there's a magnetic field
nearby. You'll never have to worry about the potential magnetic
interference. You'd otherwise get the wrong direction without
knowing about the interference. A traditional compass can't do
that!

Smart Compass has three significant features:
  • Although you may turn the phone into portrait or landscape
    mode, the heading is fixed.
  • The camera's view is used for reality.
  • Metal Detector is included to verify the magnetic sensor.

The compass app depends on the performance of your device
exactly. If the compass works perfectly, it means that your
sensors are perfect, too. If it is inaccurate, please check that you
aren't being affected by a magnetic field. Also, there are several
options to calibrate your device.

#9: Panteao Productions Make Ready App.
Another free app is the Make Ready app by Panteo Productions,
pictured right. The Panteao Make Ready Learning Center is your
one stop source where you can learn from the best teachers
available anywhere, anytime. These exclusive Make Ready videos
cover empty hands, knives, concealed carry, tactical firearms
training, vehicle tactics, combat medicine, home defense,
gunsmithing, self-reliance and more.

To further broaden the subject matter, there's the cooking series
called Wilderness to Table with Chef Bri and a strength training
series where you can follow along in the workouts. Subscribers
have unlimited access to the entire Panteao video library so that
you can watch what you want – when you want – as often as you
want. You can stream hundreds of videos seamlessly across all
your devices. New exclusive video content is added each month.
No one else delivers this much content from so many instructors
all in one place.

#10: MyRadar Weather Radar.
MyRadar is a fast, easy-to-use, no-frills application that displays
animated weather radar around your current location, allowing you
to quickly see what weather is coming your way. Just start the
app, and your location pops up with animated weather!

MyRadar shows animated weather, so you can tell if rain is
headed toward or away from you, and how fast. The map has the
standard pinch/zoom capability which allows you to smoothly
zoom and pan around the United States and see what the
weather is like anywhere.

The app is free, but,a few additional upgrades are available, uch
as severe storm warnings for your area, as provided by the
National Weather Service, and real-time hurricane tracking, which
is ideal for the start of hurricane season!

Sorry if you're a prepper in Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, you're
out of luck on this app. MyRadar currently only shows weather in
the United States, and only in the 48 contiguous states.
